pagephotoScheduling a Session

Portrait Playtime typically schedules photo sessions at least seven days in advance. Occasionally our schedule can accommodate a more immediate request. We will reschedule newborn photo shoots if our staff has a cold or other illness. If you or your child is sick, we will also work with you to reschedule your shoot, and there is no penalty for rescheduling due to illness or other medical emergency. Rescheduling for other reasons with less than 72 hours notice will cause you to incur an additional charge of $75.

Copyright

The Copyright Act protects Portrait Playtime by giving us the exclusive right to reproduce your photographs. This includes the right to control the making of copies. It is illegal to copy or reproduce your photographs elsewhere without written permission. Anyone copying, scanning, emailing, or printing copies other than Portrait Playtime without our express written permission is in violation of Federal Copyright Laws and may be fined up to $50,000. If there is something you need or want to do, please discuss it with us. You’ll find we’re pretty reasonable.

Our Guarantee

WE REALIZE THAT EVERY CREATIVE ENDEAVOR INVOLVES SOME RISK. JESSICA KNOWS THAT PORTRAIT PLAYTIME—NOT HER CLIENTS—SHOULD SHOULDER THAT RISK. SO WHEN YOU’RE A PORTRAIT PLAYTIME CLIENT, YOU RECEIVE OUR UNCONDITIONAL GUARANTEE: IF, AT ANY STEP IN THE CREATIVE PROCESS, YOU ARE NOT 100% THRILLED WITH YOUR PORTRAITS, WE’LL MAKE IT RIGHT OR GIVE YOU A FULL REFUND.

You will receive a web-ready image of any print you order, that is only for digital use, not for printing. It will also have the Portrait Playtime watermark on it for attribution purposes. You may purchase a print ready file as well. They can be printed up to 5×7.

In general, I believe my main job as a professional photographer is to provide my customer with timeless artwork. The printing process is as big a part of creating that artwork as the photo session itself. So in general I urge people to allow me to see the process all the way through – up to and including the printing. I use a professional lab and know how their printers work. I get the prints myself and can make sure that they are exactly as they should be before I deliver them to the customer. This is the only way that I can guarantee the customer’s satisfaction with that end product. Once a digital file leaves my computer, I can no longer take responsibility for the print quality. Different labs and different printers will print the same photos in different ways with greatly varying levels of quality.
