Welcome to our new website!

Some of you may have heard us talking about revamping our website back in March. Yes, it’s been a long haul, but we’ve finally gotten there! While our old site had it’s simple charm, we think our new site is a big step beyond.

It provides a great deal more information about Portrait Playtime practices, prices, tips, and product choices.

Among the new features is a news and updates section where we hope to be posting to on a regular basis (what you are reading now is a post in this section). We would like to keep our customers, partners, and friends up to date with what is happening here at Portrait Playtime, and this area will let us do it quickly and easily. You can even subscribe to get these updates in your favorite RSS reader.

We also have a new Fundraiser Calendar so that you can check to see what fundraisers might be coming up that you’d like to participate in.

We’ve tested the site out in recent versions of Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari. If there’s anything that doesn’t look or work quite right, please let us know and we’ll try to resolve it asap!

Thanks to all of our Portrait Playtime friends for assistance in making this possible! Laura Champe Mitchell was an invaluable resource, as were Susan, Melinda and Elizabeth. The new website was designed by Cary Scott, thanks Cary for putting up with a very long process for getting the site out the door. We think you (all of you) will agree with us that it was worth it!

Project Hope Fundraiser

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

Project HopePortrait Playtime spent two days doing a photo fundraiser for Project Hope at Fabrangen’s Torah Celebration. It was simply amazing. We raised almost $1000. We had more people wanting portrait sittings than we had sittings available. As befits such a tight community, people were constantly asking for others for help in choosing their pictures, since it is often so hard to pick the choices available even in a relatively short sitting! Some of the photos we took are featured in the portfolio section of our new website. We made some beautiful images.

LLL WPA Fundraiser

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

In April, Portrait Playtime headed north to Pittsburgh for a photo fundraiser with La Leche League of Western Pennsylvania. We photographed 24 clients in two days, most people signed up for our nursing sitting It was simply heaven, as all LLL conferences are, and we got some beautiful shots, including a bunch that are featured in our portfolios on our new website.

Thanks to everyone who made it possible for us to get up to Pittsburgh and have the whole event run so smoothly!
